5 Hands-On Kids Cooking Classes Around Columbus

Nancy L.:  The Seasoned Farmhouse offers cooking classes for kids taught by Carolyn Diamond. In addition, they have fun, simple one-time classes that an adult and teen can attend together such as Italian Desserts. Their offerings change seasonly so there is always something new. Adult classes are open to teens ages 16 and up who attend with an adult. This is great activity to do with your teen.

Hannah Scott:  Williams-Sonoma is a retail store known primarily for their extensive range of kitchen equipment and accessories, but they also offer a variety of cooking classes and events for the community! Their Junior Chef Classes give preteens a chance to learn kitchen skills while cooking recipes from snacks and main courses to appetizers and desserts.

Sur La Table offers a number of cooking classes for kids (ages 8-12) and teens (ages 13-17). Summer camps span 3-5 days for 2 hours each day. Participants will learn kitchen skills and safety, make foods from scratch and enjoy samples.

Tracy Snyder Molina:  Established in April 2003, Young Chefs Academy offers cooking classes to children in a safe environment that encourages discovery and creativity. While learning food preparation skills is the main ingredient at YCA, each class adds a heap of kitchen safety, a scoop of etiquette, a handful of table setting, a pinch of menu planning, and laughter to taste! YCA offers special workshops, weekly classes, birthday parties, and summer camps.

Tracy Snyder Molina:  Our CupCakery offers several options for the young baker in your family. Offerings include a Mini Spring Break Pastry Chef Camp, Future Pastry Chef Summer Camp, as well as options for Girl Scouts activities, birthday tea parties, and parent/child cake decorating classes.
