Kopp's-lovers know to check the "flavor preview" to see what unique flavors will be offered, from French Silk Pie, German Apple Streusel, or Never Enough Chocolate. Shila said:  Maxim's is a train-themed restaurant serving homestyle American fare in Oconomowoc's 19th-century stone train depot. It's a casual spot that's great for kids & groups. Inside, an operating model train run is on display, as well as train-themed decor. All baked items are made from scratch to give them that distinct homemade taste. Note that only the Oconomowoc location is train themed.

They are open year-round and also serve burgers and hot dogs in addition to their custard cones, sundaes, malts, shakes, and floats. Leon's custard is made fresh daily with fresh cream and eggs in both standard flavors (vanilla, chocolate, and butter pecan) and specialty flavors such as mint, raspberry, or maple walnut.
