Plenty of amazing finds have surfaced at La Brea, and your admission includes an Excavator Tour and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how the professionals process specimens. Changing programs can include 3D movies and new fossils as they're found!

Of course, there's plenty of scenery to admire, as well. And, the top-of-the-bluff children's playground will keep kids entertained even if they tire of sea critters and rock climbing. Nearby restrooms are a perk for parents, too. There's also plenty of parking available.

No surf in the swimming area means little ones can splash safely. And picnic tables, nearby restaurants, BBQ grills, and restroom facilities mean you can make a day of it with the whole family!

In addition to strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, you can also pick your own tangerines and figs. Be sure to verify which of the two locations is currently offering the type of produce you wish to pick. These farms are special for kids year round, from a unique summer nature camp experience to meet and greets with Santa during Christmas, and everything in between.
