Family Halloween Events in Columbus (Map + Calendar)

Katie G. said:  In this special hands-on class, kids will learn to create yummy Halloween cookies. Their instructor will walk your child through the steps of making cookie dough, rolling it out, cutting spooky shapes and decorating it with delicious icing. Treat your young chef to a fun and unforgettable cooking experience this spooky season!

Katie G. said:  Kids can wear their costumes and trick or treat for candy at the MAiZE. The event will conclude with the costume contest. Marshall from Paw Patrol, Barbie & Spiderman will be there to help with this event!

Katie G. said:  Bring the kids in costume to gather treats from characters along the enchanted nature trail. Decorate pumpkins, enjoy a hayride, meet some creepy critters, vote for your favorite scarecrow, and visit Gallant Farm across the road.

Katie G. said:  Join for the annual Halloween concert featuring student vocalists and instrumentalists performing a variety of musical styles — from movie and TV themes to contemporary pop, folk, classical music spoofs and more.

Katie G. said:  The City of Dublin hosts its annual Halloween Spooktacular providing merry, not scary, fun for everyone. Highlights include Trunk or Treat, crafts, straw maze, games and live performances.

Katie G. said:  Young's Jersey Dairy will be holding haunted wagon rides this fall. Families will board the wagon for a ride to the haunted cornfield where monsters and goblins live. Designed with families in mind, characters will not touch, chase or grab anyone. They will try to make it scary though!

7:30-10pm

Katie G. said:  The City of Powell will host the annual Candy by the Carload event at Seldom Seen Park. Local businesses and organizations will fill their car trunks and booths with candy and other Halloween goodies while little ones "trick-or-treat." Registration required.

4-6pm

Katie G. said:  Wind your way through special exhibits and an enchanting trail of glowing pumpkins dotted throughout Heritage Park. Activities included with admission are: axe throwing, pumpkin bowling,

a mechanical pumpkin ride, LED putt-putt, an inflatable corn maze, and a pumpkin bounce house + inflatables.

Katie G. said:   Dress your pet in their best costume and bring them to Easton for the HOWLoween Pet Contest & Fall Festival. Costumes will be judged and awards given based on the following categories: Scariest, Funniest, Cutest, Most Creative, Best Duo and Best Group.

Katie G. said:  The City of Pickerington will host its annual Haunted Village with ghost tours, hayrides, story-telling, haunted house, entertainment, trick-or-treating and more.

Katie G. said:  This annual event celebrates the tradition started by Grace Innis. Typically held the last Sunday of October, this event offers fall activities, crafts, and live animals.

Katie G. said:  Open to the public, The Simon Kenton Council of the Boy Scouts of America hosts a Monster Mash each year. During this event, guests will hike in the woods and choose between two trails - the haunted trail or not-so-scary trail. Along the haunted trail, you will be greeted by monsters and creatures in the dark. Along the not-so-scary trail, you will use your flashlight to complete fun games. Other activities include hay rides, face painting, pumpkin carving, arts and crafts, treats and more.

7-10pm

Katie G. said:  Enjoy live music, food, beer, family-friendly fall activities and so much more. Boo & Brew will take place outside in the Polaris Lifestyle Center near The Cheesecake Factory. While there, head into the mall for more family-friendly fun, such as face painting and balloon twisting, as well as the Autumn Market Vendor Show!

Katie G. said:  During weekends in October, the Zoo is transformed into a "merry-not-so-scary" Halloween scene. Several areas of the zoo are decorated with a Halloween theme and lighted displays. Families can walk around the zoo enjoying treat stations, shows, a giant pumpkin carving station, a hay maze and much more.
