Drop-In Toddler Classes and Tot Time Open Play in Columbus

Kelly R.:  Families with preschoolers can drop in to the Grange Insurance Audubon Center's library and bird viewing room to enjoy a nature-based storytime, followed by free play with dress-up, puppets, and climbing in the Forest Room. A drop-in program.

Katie G.:  Wendy's Gymnastics & Fitness for Children, an indoor gymnastics facility, offers a Toddler's Play Date for little ones during the week. Kids can run and jump on the mats, dive into the foam pit and have fun playing with friends.

Katie G.:  Toddlers can enjoy special open jump time with kids their own size at Get Air's Toddler Time. Little ones can bounce, jump and play with balls on one of the several trampolines. Parents are encouraged to bounce too, for a fun morning out together. Jump socks are required for all jumpers and can be purchased for an additional cost.

Katie G.:  Kids can run, jump and play at the East location of Magic Mountain Fun Center. The Toddler Thursday promotion offers unlimited playtime in the KidsGym Playland. There are large and small climbing structures, slides, tunnels and a ball pit which little ones love. Grab lunch or a snack from the snack bar afterwards and make a day of it.

Katie G.:  Every Tuesday Pottery Barn Kids at Polaris Fashion Place hosts story time for kids. Geared towards the preschool age-group, story time includes books, activities and more. If kids become a Book Club Member they will receive a special gift after attending five story time events.

Kelly R.:  Little kids (and their parents!) can get their wiggles out on Rockin' Jump's trampoline zones, dodgeball arena, stunt bag, and climbing wall, no big kids allowed. All jumpers are required to use Rockin' Jump's official bounce socks.

Katie G.:  Performer Marlene Hartzler plays children’s music and is joined by a special costumed character. Enjoy a wonderful, interactive performance designed especially for young ones. Tickets can be purchased at the theater before the show.

Katie G.:  Kids under the age of 6 are invited to run, jump and play at the Preschool Open Gym at the Dublin Recreation Center. The gym will be set up with mats, gymnastics equipment, balls, ride-on toys, coloring pages and age-appropriate toys for kids to play with.

Katie G.:  Let the little ones bounce, jump and have fun at the Bounce Club. Call to make a reservation or just drop in.

Katie G.:  Have an animal loving tot who loves to visit the zoo? You won't want to miss out on the Little Explorers' Base Camp allowing toddlers and preschoolers an opportunity to learn, play and explore different animals. Each session will focus on a different animal in a different part of the zoo. There will be puzzles, books, activities and fun for your little ones to explore.

Katie G.:  The Ohio Wildlife Center offers a story time where kids will listen to a nature or animal book, do a related craft or activity, visit with an animal ambassador at the center and have the opportunity to walk around the 20-acre property. A drop-in program.

Kelly R.:  Integrity Athletics hosts preschool open gym sessions during the school year where young kids are free to try out different stations, socialize, and enjoy the facility in a relaxed atmosphere. Socks must be worn on the trampolines.

Katie G.:  The friendly story tellers from the Delaware County Library will visit Deer Haven Park for story time. Each month will feature a different theme. There will be an activity or craft to go along with the theme and a short nature hike afterwards.

Katie G.:  Stratford Ecological Center hosts Story Time on the Farm for kids of all ages. The fun and educational hour of storytelling will focus on whats currently happening around the farm. Families can pack a lunch to enjoy on the property after story time. A drop-in program.

Katie G.:  Fun in the Jungle, an indoor play facility, offers special hours just for toddler play in the jungle play place. There are multiple levels to climb, slides to ride down, tunnels to crawl through, bags to punch and lots of room to run around. There's plenty of seating around the play structure for Mom and Dad to watch or take a break from chasing your little one around the gym.
