    Wonder

    Kelly R.:

A beautiful book with important lessons for kids (and adults). R.J. Palacio tells a story of the challenges faced by a regular 10-year-old boy with an extraordinary appearance as he enters the 5th grade for his first year in a traditional school. It is a powerful tool to support teaching our kids empathy, acceptance, and to look beyond outward appearances, and I especially love that it's told from the perspective of a variety of different characters.
