Adventure Cove at Columbus Zoo
Katie G.: Adventure Cove is an area of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium with several family-friendly amusement park rides, open seasonally. There's a classic wooden roller coaster, swings, bumper cars, log ride and more.
Kings Island
Hannah Scott: Kings Island is the largest amusement and water park in the Midwest! Check out the record-breaking roller coasters, daily shows, huge children's area, and the Soak City water park to round out your visit.
You can leave and be readmitted for free, so pack a picnic lunch in a cooler and enjoy your food in one of the grassy areas of the parking lot to save a TON of money. You may also consider buying a souvenir drink cup to take advantage of $1 refills all day!

Katie G.: Coney Island has been entertaining families in Ohio for over 130 years. Located in the greater Cincinnati area, Coney Island offers everything from kiddie rides to exciting thrill rides. Enjoy paddle boat and canoe rides on the Ohio River or a ride on the ferris wheel, carousel and giant slide together. There is no admission fee for family members who do not ride the attractions.
Stricker's Grove
Katie G.: Stricker's Grove is a family owned and operated amusement park that is available to rent for large groups, reunions, family picnics and more. Four times during the operating season, the amusement park is open to the public for Family Day. Visitors will enjoy unlimited rides, free soft drinks and free parking. Take a ride down one of the two roller coasters, fly in the air on the ferris wheel or get scrambled on the scrambler. Other attractions include miniature golf, an arcade, shooting gallery and horseshoes.
Memphis Kiddie Park
Katie G.: Dating back to the 1950s, Memphis Kiddie Park has been entertaining families for generations. There are several amusement park rides with most intended for children under 4 feet tall. These include a train, boat, merry-go-round, ferris wheel, cars and a kiddie roller coaster. Visitors can also enjoy a mini golf course and arcade.
